Was the word of Allah been used before The Prophet Mohammad had come?

30 01 2010

Before Islam has come, The Society of Arabs were believing God that as a meaning of ‘great’ , ‘creator of all things’ , ‘manager’. Although Qoran defines God as ‘able to do all things’ (Bakara 109), ‘beyond the time and space, far away from all incompleteness’ (in which arabic word of subhan) (Bakara 32,116 En’am 100), ‘the only one’ (Ihlas 1), ‘Everything needs him but he does not need anything’ (Ihlas 2), ‘unborn and not given birth’ (Ihlas 3), they degraded God into matter, thought that as if God was with people in the same place. Owing to this, They used idols for contact as reaching God.

The word of Allah comes from “ilah” which is also arabic. According to features of arabic language, with “el” prefix indefinable “ilah” becomes definitive “el-ilah” which means God. Thus, word of “el-ilah” should be thought as certain God, in other words “one and only”. By this way, actually wording “Allah” is seen to use since very long time in arabian peninsula. We should remind The Prophet’s father Abdullah to people of whom though that wording “Allah” come with Qoran. Because “abd” means “serf” so, “Abdullah” means “serf of Allah”.

Also “ilah” is dubbing as familiar in other cognate languages. In Hebrew “Eloah” which means God, in Chaldean “Alaha” or “Laha” and in Syriac “Alaha” etc. Idols like “el-ilahat” was also adored which is feminen next to “el-ilah” which is masculin as well as el-lat, el-menat, el-uzza.

It is so logical and normal that God the almighty has chosen wording “Allah” while he was transmitting the real knowledge to people of time over such a corrupt constitution. If he came with different language and name, it would be conflict with name of Rab which is the role of Allah’s teachings.

“Say (unto mankind): Cry unto Allah, or cry unto the Beneficent, unto whichsoever ye cry (it is the same). His are the most beautiful names. And thou (Muhammad), be not loud voiced in thy worship nor yet silent therein, but follow a way between.” (ISRA 110, QURAN)
