Chief Seattle’s Letter

The President in Washington sends word that he wishes to buy our land. But how can you buy or sell the sky? The land? The idea is strange to us. If we do not own the freshness of the air and the sparkle of the water, how can you buy them?

Every part of this earth is sacred to my people. Every shining pine needle, every sandy shore, every mist in the dark woods, every meadow, every humming insect. All are holy in the memory and experience of my people.

We know the sap which courses through the trees as we know the blood that courses through our veins. We are part of the earth and it is part of us. The perfumed flowers are our sisters. The bear, the deer, the great eagle, these are our brothers. The rocky crests, the juices in the meadow, the body heat of the pony, and man, all belong to the same family.

Ozymandias

I met a traveller from an antique land
Who said: Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed.

Was the word of Allah been used before The Prophet Mohammad had come?

Before Islam has come, The Society of Arabs were believing God that as a meaning of ‘great’ , ‘creator of all things’ , ‘manager’. Although Qoran defines God as ‘able to do all things’ (Bakara 109), ‘beyond the time and space, far away from all incompleteness’ (in which arabic word of subhan) (Bakara 32,116 En’am 100), ‘the only one’ (Ihlas 1), ‘Everything needs him but he does not need anything’ (Ihlas 2), ‘unborn and not given birth’ (Ihlas 3), they degraded God into matter, thought that as if God was with people in the same place. Owing to this, They used idols for contact as reaching God.

The Essentials of Faith in Quran: The Case of Destiny

As long as we have studied on essentials of faith in reference to Quran, we do not retain the faith of destiny among these. Although Quran has the words of “kader” and “kadr” which are related to destiny in the traditional of meaning, in fact that these words infer quantity, measurement, to define something according to a measure, to do something as regards wisdom. (İbn Manzur, Lisan c.V.S. 75-78; İbn Faris, Makayis c.V , s: 62-63; Ragıb, El-Mufredat, s. 403; Asım Efendi, Kamus trans. C.II, 618)

To imputate the words of “kadr” and “takdir” to Allah indicate that all actions which he does in a measure and wisdom. He performs all actions so wisely that he does not produce any unnecessary, pointless, irregularly acts. That is why all things have a measure, quantity and a law that they abide by. These verses of Quran are evidence of this sense:

Journey of one little raindrop

I have not even guessed that a little raindrop which was thinked by me so much like that. But it is my mistake, because i have forgotten hidden of “Meaning” and “Reality” in details. Since long time i consider that how does the raindrop come to us, what does it tell us? I wonder if is it a detail in order to remind us our real world?
